KWN Fayette Branch Meeting – March
Advocating for Our Children – Please join us in March when Shannon Moody, chief policy & strategy officer for Kentucky Youth Advocates, will be speaking about the impact of potential and current legislation on the well-being of children and families. Kentucky Youth Advocates is “the independent voice for Kentucky’s children” working to “ensure policymakers create investments and policies that are good for all children.” Shannon will update us on their current priorities and advocacy activities.
Meet the Candidates: Scheduled for our March meeting are Cherlynn Stevenson (US House 6th), Chelsea Kirk (KY House 73), and Judge Julie VanMeter (Court of Appeals). Many will be available for you to meet with informally before or after the meeting.
KWNPAC Democracy Dinner
We hope you’ll be with us for the Democracy Dinner on April 11th at the Campbell House and help us raise funds for Kentucky Democrats running for office. A reception with cash bar opens at 6:00 with the dinner at 7:00. Our speaker is the Honorable Aftyn Behn, Tennessee State Representative District 51. Rep. Behn’s very close race in a Congressional Special Election in 2025 attracted national attention. Her tireless work organizing with Indivisible gained her many friends in Kentucky and Tennessee.
